Inter Milan have won the UEFA Champions League trophy!

On a hot night, at Santiago Bernabeu stadium, LIVE on SoccerZip.com, Inter Milan have won the UEFA Champions League trophy!

The starting teams were:

Bayern Munchen (4-4-2): Butt – Lahm, Van Buyten, Demichelis, Badstuber – Robben, Van Bommel, Schweinsteiger, Altintop – Muller, Olic

Inter Milan (4-2-1-3): Julio Cesar – Maicon, Lucio, Samuel, Chivu – Zanetti, Cambiasso – Sneijder – Eto’o, Milito, Pandev

It was only the second time when a German team met an Italian club in a Champions League Final. The first time was a final between Borussia Dortmund and Juventus Torino, 3-1 have been the final score in that match.

After the first whistle of the big final, the game wasn’t very spectacular, it seemed to be a tactical match between “The Special One”, Jose Mourinho, and “The Lucky” Louis Van Gaal.

However, in the 34th minute the dutch Sneijder passed to Milito and it was the first goal of the match. At this point of the game, the real show began. It was the 5th goal in the tournament for Milito in the UEFA Champions League Final. Inter had also another ocassions to score again in the first half with Samuel Eto’o and Milito again and Bayern tried to respond with Altintop and Arjen Robben, but both of them missed. The score at half-time was 1-0 for Internazionale Milano.

The second half have made a great improvement in the game’s spectacularity. In the 47th minute, Mueller shot in Julio Cesar and missed a great opportunity to equalise for Bayern Munchen. The bavars tried to attack more and more with a series of missings, but Inter defended well. In the 70th it was all over for Bayern: Milito scored again! The 6th goal for Inter’s striker. The final score was 2-0 for Internazionale Milano!

Congratulations for the new European Champions!

Inter Milan – Bayern Munchen | UEFA Champions League Final Preview

Today it’s the big day! Inter Milano faces Bayern Munchen in the Uefa Champions League Final. Santiago Bernabeu plays host to its fourth European Cup Final. The match will be refereed by Howard Webb.

Inter just won the title in Italy and Bayern is the new champion of Germany, so today two big teams will try to win the Uefa Champions League trophy. Jose Mourinho and Louis Van Gaal can both join an elite group of trainers who have won the Champions League title with two separate teams.

After the big semifinal where Inter won in front of Barcelona, the former winner of UCL, the italian team can be seen as favourite, but germans have the ability to produce a big surprise. The two teams are proud to fight for the title, having disposed of Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona among others en route to Madrid.

Jose Mourinho won’t count on Thiago Motta for this game because he was sent-off  in the previous game with Barcelona and Ivan Cordoba and Davide Santon are injured. On the other side, the big absent is Franck Ribery, suspended for this game.

Jose Mourinho will likely deploy his squad in a 4-3-3 formation and Van Gaal will use a 4-4-2 system.

Probably first “11″:
Inter:
Cesar; Maicon, Samuel, Lucio, Chivu; Stankovic, Sneijder, Cambiasso; Eto’o, Milito, Pandev
Bayern: Butt; Lahm, Van Buyten, Demichelis, Badstuber; Robben, Schweinsteiger, Van Bommel, Altintop; Mueller, Olic
