The president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has hinted Monday that the club’s Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o, yet given hence could ultimately remain in Catalonia.

FC Barcelona and Ajax Amsterdam have signed a pre agreement for the transfer to the Netherlands from Spanish defender Oleguer Presas, announced Tuesday the football club catalan.
“The FC Barcelona encaissera 3 million in fixed and 2.25 million depending on the qualification of Ajax to the Champions League over the next three seasons,” said the website blaugrana.
An agreement has still to be found between Ajax and the player.
Oleguer Presas, 28, was mounted in the Barça first team during the 2003-2004 season. His contract ran until 2010.

AC Milan is about to conclude with FC Barcelona transfer of Brazilian Ronaldinho, said Saturday La Gazzetta dello Sport.
According to the sports newspaper, an agreement was reached between Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and the chairman of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, amounting to 15 million euros. Ronaldinho committed for two years until 2010, for an annual salary of 6.5 million.
This transfer would be a big blow to the Milan, after missing qualification for the Champions League 2008-2009, displays its ambitions for next season.
The club can also welcomed the price of transfer since it wanted to acquire Ronaldinho for a year and that the Barça did not want, initially, by the transfer for less than 35 million. The Brazilian has scored 70 goals in 149 matches with Barcelona and helped the club win the catalan Champions League 2006.
No information was given by the newspaper on Ronaldinho’s participation in the Olympic Games in Beijing. It is selected in the Brazil team and wants to get there but Barcelona refused to release him.

Joan Laporta has refused to resign from his post as president of FC Barcelona, despite the disavowal inflicted by the “socios” in a vote of censure against its management. Eight officers decide rendrent their mandate.

FC Barcelona announced Wednesday reached an agreement with the club Villarreal for the purchase of Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres, 21 years, for a period of four years and an amount of 16.5 million euros.
“The FC Barcelona and Villarreal CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Martin Caceres,” said the website of the catalan club, who adds that his transfer clause of the player will be 50 million.
