Brown wants a British team

Gordon BrownBritish Prime Minister Gordon Brown called Friday received as a Christmas present “a football team of Great Britain” to compete in the Olympic Games in 2012, which opposed his compatriots Scots.

Questioned during his monthly press conference to know what gift he wanted for Christmas, the Prime Minister replied: “What we have an Olympic team for the 2012 Games that is a football team of Great Britain”.

The Scottish Federation (SFA) stubbornly refuses the establishment of such a team in which his players evolve with English, Welsh and Northern Ireland.

She fears that this may ultimately back into question its existence as an independent federation, despite assurances by FIFA on this point.
