Led the score, Turkey has registered two goals in the end game to beat the Czech Republic (3-2) and qualify for the quarter-finals of Euro 2008. Author of a doubled in the last minutes of the meeting, Kahveçi Nihat was the architect of this incredible turnaround situation.
Already eliminated, Switzerland has left the Euro 2008 on a good note by winning in front of Portugal (2-0) thanks to a doubling of Hakan Yakin. The Portuguese, who have been running their workforce, were already assured of quarterfinal contest finals and finish top of Group A.
Beaten by Russia (0-1) for his second match of the competition, Greece is already eliminated from Euro 2008. With two defeats in the first two matches, defending champion falls under high and will go home head low. The Russians will play themselves, their place in the quarter against Sweden.
