Recent football transfers

Arshavin at Arsenal until 2012

The middle of the offensive Zenith Saint Petersburg Andrei Arshavin pledged Monday evening with Arsenal until June 2012. Dacourt, back in ENGLAND

Aston Villa wants a lot of money

Gareth BarryThe Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neill said Wednesday he would not leave his midfielder and captain Gareth Barry to Liverpool for less than 22.6 million. O’Neill, who has already declined four proposals for Liverpool up to 18.8 million euros, wrote to the club for him clarify his position.

“We are awaiting the response from Liverpool,” said O’Neill. It would include the Liverpool defender Steve Finnan in the agreement, but the two clubs do not agree on the value of the Irish international.

Gareth Barry has publicly expressed his desire to leave Aston Villa and has criticized his manager in an interview late June, which earned him a fine and a suspension of training.

Robinho for Cristiano Ronaldo?

Deco: “I will leave Barcelona”
