The PSG reinstated
The Judge of the Administrative Tribunal of Paris has suspended the execution of the decision of the High Commission to appeal the FFF and returned to PSG in the League Cup. The club had been excluded from the competition this season after the case of the anti chti’s banner at the Stade de France. The LFP took note of this decision and decided to disrupt the timing and format of the competition to include the Parisian club. The FFF, in turn, should not stop there. Next stop: the Council of State.
The Paris SG Thursday welcomed “the order of Judge of the Administrative Tribunal of Paris, which has suspended the execution of the decision of the High Commission to appeal the FFF” and authorizes him to “participate the League Cup 2008-09 “.
The PSG is “pleased that the judge took into account the work that the club has made before and during the match to prevent all incidents within a match which the club was not the organiser.”
As the PSG “argued the judge therefore considered that the sanction (excluding the League Cup) seemed disproportionate.”
On 29 July, the FFF (Appellate Body) remained firm and refused to return to Paris SG in the League Cup. The Parisian club had decided to seize the administrative court, with the CNOSF’s proposal to replace the death penalty by a simple camera in L1.
Everything was on this famous banner “Pédophiles, unemployed, consanguineous: welcome to the Ch’tis” deployed among supporters in Paris on March 29 during the final of the League Cup (won by PSG faces Lens). The calico had turned the affair of state.
A NEW FORMAT FOR COMPETITION
The LFP, the organizer of the League Cup, said Thursday that it would propose new draw, schedule and format after the reinstatement of PSG.
A new draw 1st and 2nd rounds will take place Monday (the initial print run was made on July 30). The first round, originally scheduled on August 19, should be postponed to early September (the date of September 3 was put forward at this stage of the project, the 2nd round will also be shifted) so that clubs can organize.
For the PSG can integrate competition in the 16th finals, with 17 other clubs L1 (Lyon and Marseille, 1st and 2nd in the last championship, are spared and integrate the competition directly to the 8th finals), there will now have 10 clubs involved in the 1st round rather than 6.
The new clubs will participate in 1st round will be Vannes, Tours, Dijon and Boulogne-sur-Mer.
